Ingredients:-


  • 195gms Maida
  • 60 ml of oil
  • 30gms Cornflour
  • 2 teaspoons Cocoa
  • 80ml Curd
  • 60gms Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Soda
  • 220gms Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Red Color
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 170ml Water

Frosting

  • 100gms Butter (around half cup)
  • 1 cup Cream Cheese.
  • 450-500gms Icing Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice

Garnishing

  • 100gm White Chocolate Shavings
  • 100gm Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 2 Strawberries

Method


  1. In a bowl add 195 gms maida, 30 gms cornflour, 2 teaspoon cocoa. Mix it well and get rid of the lumps.
  2. In another dish (bowl) include 220 gms sugar, 60 gms butter and mix them together after that Include 60 ml of oil and mix it well.
  3. In a container include 170 ml water, 80 ml curd, 1 tablespoon red color, 1 teaspoon vanilla and mix it well.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients and the buttermilk mixture to the sugar and butter mixture.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon vinegar and 1 teaspoon soda right into the cake batter and mix.
  6. Put the batter into two 6 inch round baking tins and bake them in a preheated stove at 180 levels for around 25-30 minutes.

For sugar syrup

  1. In a vessel add 1/4 cup of water, 2 tablespoon of sugar and boil till the sugar dissolves totally.

 

For cream cheese frosting

  1. In a bowl add 100 gms of butter, 1 cup of cream cheese, 480 gms of icing sugar, 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice mix it well and refrigerate for about 2 hrs.

 

Brush the cakes with sugar syrup.

  1. Place 2 spoons of the frosting and spread it on the cake and place the other part of cake on the top, again put 2 spoons of the frosting and make a crumb coat on the cake.
  2. Put the cake in refrigerator for around 15 minutes.
  3. Use the 2nd layer of the frosting and cool the cake once again in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  4. Apply some even more frosting and smooth the cake from all sides.
  5. Garnish the cake with white chocolate shavings, cream cheese frosting and strawberries.
